Track Impulse Overlays

Free iRacing Overlays.
And Every Other Sim, Too.

Track Impulse Overlays is a free set of 20 iRacing overlays, plus up to 12 build-your-own widgets, that float live data over your sim in transparent, draggable panels. An iRacing radar spotter, a full dashboard, a shift light, a fuel calculator, and a live haptics HUD that reads your bass shaker effects straight from the app. No SimHub required.

Supported simsTen, one install
The app switches automatically. Some panels need data only certain sims expose — see the per-sim table
01 / Radar Spotter

The iRacing Radar Spotter:
Eyes On Your Blind Spots.

The Track Impulse radar spotter is a visual proximity overlay, an iRacing radar for the cars you cannot see, available in three modes. The disc view puts your car at the centre of a circular radar and places every nearby car by bearing and distance, blue when far, amber when close, red and pulsing when you are door to door. Works in iRacing, ACC, Assetto Corsa and Le Mans Ultimate.

Prefer a different read? There is a portrait radar with the cars in a fore and aft lane, and a simple two-bar mode, just a left and right strip that fills as a car comes alongside. All three modes clear the instant the car drops back. Built for single-screen rigs where you have no mirrors. The iRacing radar page covers all three views, the metre thresholds and how it compares in depth.

  • Disc, portrait radar or simple two-bar view
  • Lights up the moment a car is alongside
  • Blue to amber to red by how close it is
  • Built for single-screen rigs with no mirrors
02 / Dashboard

The Dashboard Overlay:
Your Whole Car, One Cluster.New

The Track Impulse dashboard overlay is a full sim racing instrument cluster in one panel, free in iRacing, ACC, Assetto Corsa, Le Mans Ultimate and every sim the app supports. A 270 degree tachometer with gear, speed, rpm and a sweeping needle sits at the centre, with steering and a live 5 second input trace on the left, a configurable telemetry grid with throttle, brake, clutch bars and a G-force dial on the right, and a battle gap strip across the top. The whole cluster scales from one size slider, and cells a sim cannot fill simply hide.

  • 270 degree tacho with gear, speed and rpm
  • Steering readout and 5 second input trace
  • Throttle, brake, clutch bars and a G-force dial
  • Configurable telemetry cells, plus fuel and lap data
Live in-browser preview
iRacing performance review window on the Speed tab: a session list, lap list with times and deltas, sector times, the track map coloured by speed with numbered turns, and speed, throttle and brake traces for the selected lap against the community best.
03 / Performance Review

The Performance Review App:
Your iRacing Telemetry, Analysed.New

Performance Review is a full iRacing telemetry analysis app built into Track Impulse. It records every session automatically in the background: practice, qualifying and race. Open it after you drive and every lap is there, with sector times, a track map coloured by speed, and full speed, throttle and brake traces for any lap you click.

Nine analysis tabs break the lap down. Speed, braking and throttle heat maps show where you are fast and where you give time away. Line analysis draws your driving line against your PB, metre by metre. Compare any two laps with sector deltas, and Trend tracks your best lap across sessions. A built-in corner coach ranks the corners costing you the most time and says what to change: brake later, carry more apex speed, back to throttle sooner. You can also race the community: share a lap, and every car and track combo shows the community best next to your own PB. It is the review you would otherwise install a separate telemetry app for, already in Track Impulse and free. iRacing only for now.

  • Records every session automatically, nothing to start or stop
  • Heat maps, line analysis, sector deltas and lap-to-lap comparison
  • Corner coach with ranked time losses, best-lap trend and CSV export
  • Community best laps: share yours, chase everyone else's
04 / Shift Light

The iRacing Shift Light:
Upshift on Instinct, Not Guesswork.New

The Track Impulse shift light is a standalone upshift indicator you can place anywhere on screen, right in your sightline. It fills green, then amber, then red and flashes blue at the optimal upshift point, following the sim's shift rpm in iRacing, ACC, Assetto Corsa and every supported sim, or the redline trimmed by up to 500 rpm where the sim does not expose it.

Pick the look that reads fastest for you: five styles, from a simple block, bar, ring or meter to the round Apex dial above, each with an optional gear digit. It stays independent of the other panels, so it never competes with the rest of your layout.

  • Green to red to a flashing blue at the optimal shift
  • Follows the sim's shift rpm, trimmable by 500 rpm
  • Five styles: block, gauge, ring, meter and Apex dial
  • Optional gear digit, placed anywhere you want
05 / Relative

The iRacing Relative Overlay:
Who's Coming, And How Fast.

The Track Impulse relative overlay lists the cars immediately ahead and behind you, ordered by interval in seconds rather than race position. Each row shows position, car number and class, driver name, iRating, projected iRating gain, licence, live interval, last lap pace delta, manufacturer badge, gap, last lap time and tyre compound in iRacing, with the fields a sim exposes filled automatically in ACC, Assetto Corsa and Le Mans Ultimate. Every column can be toggled and reordered. The panel you glance at to know who is closing, whether you are about to be lapped, or whether the car behind is faster than the gap suggests.

The car column carries the real manufacturer badge, not a three-letter abbreviation, so you read the field by shape at a glance. The badge lights up when that car comes within a second of you. You see the threat in your peripheral vision before you have read a single number.

  • Position, car number, driver name, iRating and licence
  • Live interval, red when a battle is inside half a second
  • Manufacturer badge that lights up inside a one second battle
  • Pace delta, projected iRating gain and tyres
  • Sorted by proximity on track, not standings
06 / Battle Bar

The Battle Bar Overlay:
The Two Gaps That Decide Your Race.New

The Track Impulse battle bar shows the only two numbers that matter wheel to wheel: the gap to the car immediately ahead and immediately behind, paired in the centre of one compact strip. Each rival gets a name, position, car number and licence, so you always know exactly who you are racing, and a proximity track across the top shows both cars closing in real time.

Choose from six layouts, from a minimal readout to the full broadcast-style bar with a last lap row comparing your pace against both rivals. Built for iRacing and Le Mans Ultimate where the gap data is exact, and it hides itself when nobody is close.

  • Live gap to the car ahead and behind
  • Driver name, position, car number and licence per rival
  • Last lap times for you and both rivals
  • Six layouts, hides when no one is near
07 / Fuel

The iRacing Fuel Calculator:
The Maths, Done For You.

The Track Impulse fuel calculator is a built-in iRacing fuel overlay that learns your per-lap burn rate over a few clean laps, then shows litres in tank, a pit window countdown in laps or minutes and exactly how much to add at the next stop, with the pit call, your lap and the fuel margin pinned in the footer. Four layouts, from a compact strip to the full card. Works in iRacing, ACC, Assetto Corsa, Le Mans Ultimate and every sim that publishes a fuel level. No SimHub plugin, no spreadsheet, no guessing the last splash.

  • Litres in tank and a live tank bar
  • Pit window countdown in laps or minutes
  • Per-lap burn learned from clean laps
  • Fuel to add at the stop, with your margin
08 / Session

The Session Overlay:
The Whole Race, At a Glance.

The Track Impulse session overlay shows the state of the race in one strip: air and track temperature, rain chance and wetness percentage, time remaining, live flag state and your incident count. Six data points you would otherwise have to dig out of iRacing's own screens mid-stint, visible in iRacing, ACC, Assetto Corsa, Le Mans Ultimate and every racing sim, with anything a sim does not publish marked N/A.

  • Air and track temperature
  • Rain chance and track wetness
  • Time remaining and live flag state
  • Your incident count
09 / Standings

The iRacing Standings Overlay:
The Class Order, Leader to Last.

The Track Impulse standings overlay shows where you sit in your own car class, sorted by class position with the leader at the top. In iRacing multiclass races it splits the field into class blocks (GT3, GT4, LMP2), each with its own strength of field and the lap counter in the class band, so a GT3 driver is never lost in a field of prototypes. Also works in ACC, Assetto Corsa and Le Mans Ultimate.

Your row stays pinned in view even when the order runs deeper than the panel. Each driver gets position, car number and class, name, gap to the class leader, pace delta against your last lap, best lap, iRating, licence, manufacturer badge, last lap and tyre compound, plus projected iRating change, with the class-fastest lap highlighted. Lapped cars show an amber plus one L in place of the gap, so you know who is not racing you before you commit to the move. Every column can be toggled and reordered.

  • Split by class with strength of field
  • Gap, pace delta, best and last lap per driver
  • Manufacturer badge instead of a truncated car name
  • Lapped cars flagged in amber, class-fastest lap highlighted
  • Sorted by class position, leader first
10 / Haptics

The Haptics HUD:
See What Your Bass Shakers Are Doing.

The Track Impulse haptics HUD is the one overlay no other tool can match. Because it reads straight from Track Impulse, the strip shows a live level for each of your eight bass shaker effects at the same instant your shakers fire it, with the master level alongside. Road vibration, slow suspension, kerb, engine, ABS lock, gear change, wheel slip and native kerb, each with its own meter. Works in iRacing, ACC, Assetto Corsa and every supported sim.

It is the fastest way to tune your bass shaker effects: drive a few laps and see at a glance whether ABS is firing under braking, whether suspension is saturating over kerbs, or whether an effect you thought was on is sitting flat. Pair it with the per-effect controls on the effects page and you can dial tuning in by eye as well as by feel.

11 / Twitch Bot

The iRacing Twitch Bot:
Chat Asks. The Overlay Answers.New

Every overlay app can show your chat on screen. Track Impulse is the only overlay app with a built-in interactive iRacing Twitch bot: viewers type a command, and the bot answers in chat from the same live telemetry the overlays use, within a second or two. 14 commands: !fuel, !gap, !lap, !delta, !inc, !weather, !car, !track and more, plus !ir, !sr and !sof for iRacing ratings. Wear a heart rate monitor and !hr lets chat check your pulse three wide into T1.

The chat overlay itself merges Twitch and YouTube into one read-only feed over the sim, with a Featured card to pin a message on screen. Standalone chat bots for iRacing exist, but they are a second app to install and run. Here the bot lives inside the overlays: one install, next to your radar and relative.

  • 14 commands answered from live telemetry: !fuel, !gap, !sof, !sr and more
  • !hr reads your heart rate monitor live
  • Merged Twitch and YouTube chat feed with a Featured pin card
  • Built into the overlay app, no separate bot to run
Every overlay

All Your Overlays,
One App.

Track Impulse ships 20 overlays, plus up to 12 build-your-own widgets, each its own panel with its own job. Turn on the ones you want, place them where you want, leave the rest off. The panels run across ten sims, and the per-sim table is a straight yes or no for every one of them. Every panel is documented step by step in the overlays guide.

Customisable layout

Put Every Panel
Exactly Where You Want It.

Drag any panel anywhere, then lock the layout with a single key so nothing moves once you are racing. A banner on each panel tells you whether you are in edit or locked mode.

Drag and lock

Drag any panel into position, then press F6 to lock the layout. Each panel shows a banner confirming edit or locked mode.

Show when it matters

Set each panel to show in the car, out of the car, or always. Keep the relative up only while driving, or pin the session strip everywhere.

Header & footer strips

Add subtle header and footer strips with track and session info, for context without a separate overlay slot.

Per-panel opacity

Tune background colour, opacity and content opacity per panel. Almost invisible until needed, or solid enough to read at a glance.

One settings window

Everything lives in a single tabbed Settings window. One place to switch panels on and off and adjust appearance.

Ultrawide friendly

Wide horizontal layouts that suit the top or bottom edge of an ultrawide or standard display, out of your sightline.

Starts in your language

A language picker appears the first time you launch the overlay app, so it starts in your preferred language. You can change it later from Settings with a quick restart.

Supported sims

iRacing, ACC and Assetto Corsa Overlays
Plus Seven More Sims.

Track Impulse Overlays run in ten sims: iRacing, Le Mans Ultimate, Assetto Corsa Competizione, Assetto Corsa, Assetto Corsa EVO, Assetto Corsa Rally, Automobilista 2, F1 25, Euro Truck Simulator 2 and BeamNG.drive. F1 25 is the newest, and it is the thinnest: it publishes far less about a session than the other nine, so most of its column below is a No. The app detects which one you are running and switches automatically. Outside a supported sim the overlays stay hidden.

Below is a table of which overlays are supported in which sim.

Ten columns will not fit on a phone. Pick the sims you want to compare.

Prices and features checked from each vendor's own site in July 2026. Free tiers and paid plans change, so confirm at the source before you buy. Cells marked Not listed could not be confirmed from the vendor's site. SimHub also drives bass shakers, so the difference there is low latency and the live haptics HUD, not haptics on their own.

FAQ

iRacing Overlays:
Common Questions.

Are Track Impulse overlays free?
Yes. The overlays are free during beta and run on your existing Track Impulse activation. They ship inside the installer as an optional component, so there is no separate purchase, subscription or account to set up.
Which sims do the overlays work in?
Ten sims: iRacing, Le Mans Ultimate, ACC, Assetto Corsa, AC EVO, AC Rally, Automobilista 2, F1 25, Euro Truck Simulator 2 and BeamNG.drive. The app detects which one you are running and switches automatically. The per-sim table answers this as a straight yes or no for every overlay in every sim: if it runs and does its job there, it is a Yes. Not every sim publishes what iRacing does, so where a sim publishes nothing for a field the panel reads N/A instead of a made-up number, and an overlay a sim cannot feed at all is a No and says Not available on this sim on screen. You are never left guessing whether it is the sim or the app.
Do I need a bass shaker to use the overlays?
No. The radar spotter, relative, standings, fuel calculator and session overlays all work on their own. The haptics HUD is the only panel that needs bass shakers, and it simply stays idle if you do not have any.
What is the haptics HUD?
A live overlay that reads straight from Track Impulse and shows a level meter for every bass shaker effect the instant it fires: road, suspension, kerb, engine, ABS, gear change and wheel slip. It is the fastest way to see and tune your effects by eye.
Do the overlays work on every screen type?
The overlays are built for single screen and triple screen setups, including ultrawides. The wide horizontal panels suit the top or bottom edge of a display, out of your sightline, and the radar spotter is built for rigs with no mirrors. VR support is not there yet: the panels draw on your monitor, not inside the headset.
Do I need SimHub for iRacing overlays?
No. Track Impulse overlays run on their own: no SimHub, no plugins, no dashboard building. Every panel ships ready to use in one installer, from the radar spotter to the fuel calculator. SimHub builds its overlays from community dashboards you assemble yourself; here you tick a box during install and race.
Is there an iRacing Twitch bot in the overlays?
Yes. Track Impulse is the only overlay app with a built-in interactive Twitch bot. Viewers type one of 14 commands, !fuel, !gap, !sof, !sr, !hr and more, and the bot answers in chat from live telemetry within a second or two. Other overlay apps only display chat; standalone bots exist but are a second install.
What are the best free iRacing overlays?
Track Impulse ships 20 free iRacing overlays, plus up to 12 build-your-own widgets, in one installer: a radar spotter, a full dashboard, a shift light, relative, standings, a fuel calculator, a battle bar, session info, a track map, a pit helper, delta trace, a performance overlay with track heat maps, Twitch and YouTube chat, a race recap card and a live haptics HUD. No SimHub required, no subscription. They also work in ACC, Assetto Corsa, Le Mans Ultimate, Automobilista 2 and more.
