A free companion app that floats live race data over every sim Track Impulse supports in transparent, draggable panels. Seven overlays cover inputs, the cars around you, the class standings, fuel, a proximity spotter, and session info, plus a live haptics HUD that reads your bass shaker effects straight from Track Impulse. Ships in the installer, runs on your existing activation.
Throttle, brake and clutch as live bars, with rpm, current gear, speed and sweeping shift lights, and a steering readout. The panel that shows where you are lifting early, trailing the brake too long, or spinning the rears on exit.
The cars immediately ahead and behind, ordered by interval in seconds rather than race position. The panel you glance at to know who is closing, whether you are about to be lapped, or whether the car behind is faster than the gap suggests.
Fuel tracking that watches your burn over a few clean laps, then tells you what is in the tank, how many laps that gives you, how much you need to reach the flag, and how much to add at the next stop. No more saving fuel blind or guessing the last splash.
A visual spotter for the cars you cannot see. The radar view puts your car in the centre and shows nearby cars ahead, behind and alongside, and the edge indicators light up the moment a car draws level, so you know whether to give room or hold your line.
Prefer something simpler? There is also a two-bar mode, just a left and right strip that fills as a car comes alongside. Both clear the instant the car drops back.
The state of the session in one strip: air and track conditions, rain and wetness, how much of the race is left, the current flag, and your incident count. The context you would otherwise have to dig out of the sim's own screens mid-stint.
Where you sit in your own car class, sorted by class position with the leader at the top. In multiclass racing it splits the field into class blocks with strength of field for each, so a GT3 driver is never lost in a field of prototypes.
Your row stays pinned in view even when the order runs deeper than the panel, with position, number, name, iRating, best lap, iRating change, car make and tyre compound per row.
The one overlay no other tool can match. Because it reads straight from Track Impulse, the strip shows a live level for every haptic effect at the same instant your shakers fire it, with the master level alongside. Road vibration, slow suspension, kerb, engine, ABS lock, gear change, wheel slip and a native kerb channel, each with its own meter.
It is the fastest way to tune your effects: drive a few laps and see at a glance whether ABS is firing under braking, whether suspension is saturating over kerbs, or whether an effect you thought was on is sitting flat. Pair it with the per-effect controls on the effects page and you can dial tuning in by eye as well as by feel.
Each overlay is its own panel with its own job. Turn on the ones you want, place them where you want, leave the rest off.
Drag any panel anywhere, then lock the layout with a single key so nothing moves once you are racing. A banner on each panel tells you whether you are in edit or locked mode.
Drag any panel into position, then press F6 to lock the layout. Each panel shows a banner confirming edit or locked mode.
Set each panel to show in the car, out of the car, or always. Keep the relative up only while driving, or pin the session strip everywhere.
Add subtle header and footer strips with track and session info, for context without a separate overlay slot.
Tune background colour, opacity and content opacity per panel. Almost invisible until needed, or solid enough to read at a glance.
Everything lives in a single tabbed Settings window. One place to switch panels on and off and adjust appearance.
Wide horizontal layouts that suit the top or bottom edge of an ultrawide or standard display, out of your sightline.
A language picker appears the first time you launch the overlay app, so it starts in your preferred language. You can change it later from Settings with a quick restart.
The overlays now run in all seven sims Track Impulse supports: iRacing, ACC, Assetto Corsa, Le Mans Ultimate, AC EVO, AC Rally and Automobilista 2. The app detects which one you are running and switches automatically. All seven overlays work in every sim. When you are not in a supported sim, the overlays stay hidden.
A few columns rely on data only some sims expose. Strength of field, iRating and opponent tyre compound come from iRacing, so where a sim does not provide a value that field simply stays empty. The panels themselves run everywhere.
Every overlay works in all seven supported sims as of v0.7.004. Individual fields that depend on data a given sim does not expose stay blank in that sim, but the panels run everywhere, the same as the bass shaker haptics.
The overlays ship inside the installer as an optional component, free on your existing activation. Install Track Impulse, tick the overlays during setup, and you have a full on-screen HUD plus low-latency bass shaker haptics in one app. Free during beta. No credit card.
