Terms of Service
Effective date: 1 January 2026 · Track Impulse is operated by Track Impulse Pty Ltd (ABN 94 701 391 764), Victoria, Australia. In these Terms, "Track Impulse", "we" and "us" mean Track Impulse Pty Ltd.
1. Acceptance of terms
By downloading, installing, or using Track Impulse software ("the Software"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Software.
2. What Track Impulse is
Track Impulse is a Windows desktop application for sim racing, in two parts. The haptics engine reads telemetry from supported racing simulators and outputs low-latency audio signals to bass shaker hardware through an ASIO or WDM-KS audio device. Track Impulse Overlays displays live telemetry, timing and race information in separate transparent windows drawn on top of the running simulator. Either part can be used on its own. The current list of supported simulators is maintained on the Track Impulse website.
Track Impulse is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any simulator developer or vehicle manufacturer. All product names, simulator names, trademarks and logos referenced on this site or shown in the Software are the property of their respective owners. They are used only to identify the simulators Track Impulse is compatible with and the vehicles present in a session.
3. How Track Impulse interacts with your simulator
Track Impulse reads race data through the telemetry interfaces the simulators themselves publish. It does not read or modify simulator process memory, does not inject code into the simulator, and does not send driving inputs or control commands to it. The overlays are drawn in the Software's own windows positioned above the simulator, and do not alter the simulator or its files.
Euro Truck Simulator 2, American Truck Simulator and BeamNG.drive expose telemetry only through a plugin or mod. With your consent, Track Impulse copies that file into the relevant game folder. You can remove it at any time by deleting it.
EA Sports WRC and DiRT Rally 2.0 expose telemetry only once it is switched on in one of the game's own settings files. With your consent, Track Impulse writes those settings: for EA Sports WRC it adds its own packet layout file and one receiver entry to the telemetry folder's shared configuration, leaving any entries other tools have added in place; for DiRT Rally 2.0 it edits the hardware settings file and keeps a backup copy alongside it. You can undo either at any time by removing what it added or restoring the backup.
Some simulators, leagues and competitions set their own rules about third-party applications. You are responsible for confirming that your use of the Software is permitted by the simulator's terms of service and by the rules of any event you take part in.
4. Licence grant
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the Software on the number of machines stated for your plan at the time of purchase, currently up to 3, registered to your account, for your personal, non-commercial use.
