What you get

Every Assetto Corsa Overlay
in the Suite.

Eight panels run in Assetto Corsa, plus up to 12 build-your-own widgets you assemble from single data fields, gauges and bars. Each panel is a separate transparent window: turn on the ones you want, drag them where you want, leave the rest off. The app detects Assetto Corsa on launch and switches to it automatically. Every panel is documented step by step in the overlays guide.

What Assetto Corsa cannot feed

Assetto Corsa does not publish the live car position data the radar spotter, relative and standings panels need, so those three are iRacing and Le Mans Ultimate features and stay off in the whole Assetto Corsa family. Same for the battle bar, the track map, the privacy cover and lap review with heat maps. A panel a sim cannot feed says Not available on this sim on screen, so you are never left guessing whether it is the sim or the app.

Race in iRacing as well? The free iRacing radar covers the spotter side there. Race ACC? The relative and standings do run in ACC, and the ACC overlays page has the detail.

01 / Dashboard

The Assetto Corsa Dashboard Overlay:
Your Whole Car, One Cluster.New

The Track Impulse dashboard is a full Assetto Corsa instrument cluster in one panel. A 270 degree tachometer with gear, speed, rpm and a sweeping needle sits at the centre, with steering and a live 5 second input trace on the left, and a configurable telemetry grid with throttle, brake and clutch bars plus a G-force dial on the right. The whole cluster scales from one size slider, and cells Assetto Corsa cannot fill simply hide.

Two layouts ship: the full classic cluster, and a compact bar with the tacho overhanging its top edge for drivers who want the numbers without the real estate. Both run identically in Assetto Corsa, AC EVO and AC Rally.

  • 270 degree tacho with gear, speed and rpm
  • Steering readout and 5 second input trace
  • Throttle, brake, clutch bars and a G-force dial
  • Classic cluster or compact bar, one size slider

02 / Shift Light

The Assetto Corsa Shift Light:
Upshift on Instinct.New

Assetto Corsa's stock shift indicator lives on the in-car dash, which is exactly where your eyes are not at the end of a straight. The Track Impulse shift light is a standalone upshift indicator you place anywhere on screen, right in your sightline. It fills green, then amber, then red, and flashes blue at the optimal upshift point.

It follows the sim's shift rpm where Assetto Corsa publishes it, and falls back to the redline trimmed by up to 500 rpm where it does not. Pick the look that reads fastest for you: five styles, from a simple block, bar, ring or meter to the round Apex dial above, each with an optional gear digit.

  • Green to red to a flashing blue at the optimal shift
  • Follows the sim's shift rpm, trimmable by 500 rpm
  • Five styles: block, gauge, ring, meter and Apex dial
  • Optional gear digit, placed anywhere you want
03 / Fuel

The Assetto Corsa Fuel Calculator:
The Maths, Done For You.

The Track Impulse fuel calculator learns your per-lap burn rate over a few clean laps, then shows litres in tank, a pit window countdown in laps or minutes, and exactly how much to add at the next stop. The pit call, your lap and the fuel margin sit pinned in the footer, so a 60 minute Assetto Corsa endurance run stops being a spreadsheet job.

Four layouts, from a compact strip to the full card above. It runs anywhere the sim publishes a fuel level, which covers Assetto Corsa, AC EVO and AC Rally.

  • Litres in tank and a live tank bar
  • Pit window countdown in laps or minutes
  • Per-lap burn learned from clean laps
  • Fuel to add at the stop, with your margin

04 / Session

The Session Overlay:
The Whole Race, At a Glance.

The session overlay puts the state of the race in one strip: air and track temperature, rain chance and wetness, time remaining and the live flag state. Data you would otherwise dig out of Assetto Corsa's own screens mid-stint.

This is where the app's honesty rule shows. Assetto Corsa publishes no incident count, so that cell reads N/A rather than a made-up number. Nothing on a Track Impulse panel is invented to fill a gap.

  • Air and track temperature
  • Rain chance and track wetness
  • Time remaining and live flag state
  • Fields the sim does not publish read N/A
05 / Haptics

The Haptics HUD:
One Install Drives Both.

Track Impulse is also low-latency bass shaker software, and this is the overlay no rival can match. Because it reads straight from the haptic engine, the strip shows a live level for each of your eight bass shaker effects at the same instant your shakers fire them: road vibration, slow suspension, kerb, engine, ABS lock, gear change, wheel slip and native kerb.

The numbers behind it: telemetry reaches a bass shaker in as low as 2ms end to end. Measured head to head against SimHub in iRacing, that is 8ms against 137ms. So one install gives you your Assetto Corsa overlays and your bass shakers, on the same telemetry, at the same instant. RaceLab, iOverlay, irDashies and Edge do overlays only.

It is also the fastest way to tune your bass shaker effects: drive a few laps and see whether ABS is firing under braking, whether suspension is saturating over kerbs, or whether an effect you thought was on is sitting flat. Pair it with the per-effect controls on the effects page.

06 / Twitch Bot

Twitch and YouTube Chat:
Chat Asks. The Overlay Answers.New

Every overlay app can show your chat on screen. Track Impulse is the only one with a built-in interactive bot: a viewer types a command and the bot answers in chat from the same live telemetry the overlays use, within a second or two. 14 commands: !fuel, !gap, !lap, !delta, !weather, !car, !track and more. Wear a heart rate monitor and !hr lets chat check your pulse through the Nordschleife.

The chat overlay merges Twitch and YouTube into one read-only feed over the sim, with a Featured card to pin a message. Standalone chat bots exist, but they are a second app to install and run. Here the bot lives inside the overlays: one install.

  • 14 commands answered from live telemetry
  • !hr reads your heart rate monitor live
  • Merged Twitch and YouTube feed with a Featured pin card
  • Built into the overlay app, no separate bot to run
Three more panels

Delta Trace, Race Recap
and Build Your Own.

Three panels that do not need a screenshot to explain. All three run in Assetto Corsa, AC EVO and AC Rally.

Delta trace

A continuous delta graph against your best or last lap, in full or compact height. You see time gained and lost as you drive, not after the lap has already gone.

Race recap card

A shareable post-race card with your finish, positions gained and best lap, exported as an image. Built for posting straight into a Discord after a league round.

Build your own, up to 12

Text panels of any data field, visual gauges (shift light, rev dial, dash tacho, pedal bars, input trace), bars for delta and fuel, and a live heart rate readout.

Every panel goes where you want it

Drag any panel anywhere, then press F6 to lock the layout so nothing moves once you are racing. Set each panel to show in the car, out of the car, or always. Tune background colour, opacity and content opacity per panel, so a panel is almost invisible until you need it. Everything lives in one tabbed Settings window.

Support matrix

Assetto Corsa, AC EVO and AC Rally:
What Runs Where.

A straight yes or no for every overlay across the Assetto Corsa family. Yes means the panel runs and does its job there. No means the sim does not publish what the panel needs, and the panel says so on screen rather than showing an empty box. AC EVO is the only one of the three that adds a panel the others do not have: the pit helper.

The same overlay app runs in ten sims: iRacing, Le Mans Ultimate, Assetto Corsa Competizione, Assetto Corsa, AC EVO, AC Rally, Automobilista 2, F1 25, Euro Truck Simulator 2 and BeamNG.drive. The full ten column version of this table lives on the overlays page. Radar, relative, standings, battle bar, track map, lap review, privacy cover and the endurance panels are supported in other sims, listed there.

How it compares

Which Assetto Corsa Overlay App
Is Actually Free?

Three of the five best known overlay apps do not run in Assetto Corsa at all. iOverlay, irDashies and Edge are iRacing only. That leaves RaceLab, SimHub and Track Impulse as the real choices for an AC driver, and only Track Impulse also drives your bass shakers from the same install.

Prices and features checked from each vendor's own site in July 2026. Free tiers and paid plans change, so confirm at the source before you buy. Cells marked Not listed could not be confirmed from the vendor's site. SimHub also drives bass shakers, so the difference there is low latency and the live haptics HUD, not haptics on their own.

Setup

Assetto Corsa Overlays
in Three Steps.

There is no plugin folder, no app to enable inside Assetto Corsa, and no dashboard to assemble. From download to a working HUD is a few minutes.

Install Track Impulse and tick the overlays

Run the installer and tick the overlays component during setup. The overlays are free during beta, whether or not you use the bass shaker side of the app.

Launch Assetto Corsa

The app detects the sim on launch and switches to it automatically. Outside a supported sim the panels stay hidden, so nothing sits over your desktop.

Drag your panels, then press F6

Turn on the panels you want, drag each one where your eyes already go, then press F6 to lock the layout. The overlays guide covers every setting, panel by panel.

FAQ

Assetto Corsa Overlays:
Common Questions.

Are the Assetto Corsa overlays free?
Yes. The overlays are free during beta. Tick the overlays component during setup and they run alongside the haptic engine, or on their own if you do not use bass shakers.
Which overlays work in Assetto Corsa?
Eight panels plus up to 12 build-your-own widgets: dashboard, shift light, fuel calculator, delta trace, session info, race recap card, Twitch and YouTube chat, and the haptics HUD. The support table above gives a straight yes or no for each one across AC, AC EVO and AC Rally.
Is there a radar or relative overlay for Assetto Corsa?
No. Assetto Corsa does not publish the live car position data those panels need, so the radar spotter, relative and standings are not available in AC, AC EVO or AC Rally. They run in iRacing and Le Mans Ultimate, and the relative and standings also run in ACC. Overclaiming here would just waste your install.
Do the overlays work in Assetto Corsa EVO and AC Rally?
Yes. AC EVO runs everything plain Assetto Corsa does, plus the pit helper. AC Rally runs exactly the same set as plain Assetto Corsa. The app detects which one you launched and switches automatically.
Do I need SimHub for Assetto Corsa overlays?
No. Track Impulse overlays run on their own: no SimHub, no plugins, no dashboard building. Every panel ships ready to use. SimHub builds its overlays from community dashboards you assemble yourself; here you tick a box during install and drive.
Do I need bass shakers to use the overlays?
No. Every panel except the haptics HUD works on its own, and the HUD simply sits idle without shakers. If you do run them, Track Impulse delivers telemetry to a bass shaker in as low as 2ms end to end, measured at 8ms against SimHub's 137ms in iRacing, from the same install.
Do the overlays work in VR?
Not yet. The panels draw on your monitor, not inside the headset, so they are built for single screen and triple screen rigs, including ultrawides. The wide horizontal layouts suit the top or bottom edge of a display, out of your sightline.
